  • Step 1: Wildfire Risk Assessment

In order to keep your community as safe as possible from wildfire, knowledge is king. At Redwood Fire Prevention, we provide an annual analysis to determine of the most effective course of action to reduce wildfire risk even reaching your neighborhood.

In a study of wildfire behavior in the Wildland Urban Interface, it was found that “wind-driven fires were three times as likely to be associated with a fatality and and twice as likely to produce structure loss than other fires.”

Our Fire Pathways™ simulation identifies the routes that bring the values at risk during a wind driven event in the shortest amount of time.

Our assessment takes into account Weather Parameters, Fuel and Topography data, and upwind Fire Ignition. We then use an optimization algorithm to define and prioritize treatment to slow any potential fire threat.
